Scottish Country Dancing -
The Red Deer Centre in Alberta Ave, East Kilbride hosts a variety of classes throughout the year including Scottish Country Dancing on Monday mornings.
The class is part of the Activities in Retirement programme organised by the centre and the new session of Scottish Country Dancing resumes on Monday 2nd September in the Red Deer Centre, East Kilbride from 10.00am till 12noon.
New members who would like to be part of a friendly and fun class would be made most welcome.
A knowledge of basic steps e.g. Pas-
Aileen Mairs and Patricia Leslie work together to make up the dance programmes and ensure a varied and interesting selection of jigs, reels and strathspeys are included at each class. Each dance is 'called' and 'walked through'.
The class is also very proud of their fundraising efforts. In the last session they raised £600 which was divided
between EK Dementia Carers Group, Kilbryde Hospice, Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust and the Beatson Centre.

RESUMPTION OF RED DEER DANCING AT CLAREMONT CHURCH -
WE ARE DELIGHTED TO CONFIRM THAT THE CLASS WILL RESUME ON MONDAY 24TH JANUARY AT CLAREMONT CHURCH FROM 10AM TO 12.00.
THE COST OF THE CLASS WILL BE £2 TO COVER CHARGES FOR USE OF THE HALL AND AS WE WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO KITCHEN FACILITIES, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN REFRESHMENTS.
WE WILL BE OBSERVING THE REVISED COVID GUIDELINES BUT LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING OUR DANCING FRIENDS AS WE START TO ENJOY SOME RELAXATION OF RESTRICTIONS.
