Dear All,

I had hoped to keep the class fee low for 2026, but with costs rising, I’ve had to increase it slightly to cover these expenses. However, I have managed to keep it to £2.00 per night at an early bird rates of £28.00 for the season if paid before the 30th April, and £30.00 after that date. This includes tea, coffee, and biscuits.

I also realise people might want to just attend for only certain nights and this is not a problem, but it will be a slightly higher cost of £5.00 per night, which can be paid on the door or online. Please let me know if you intend to drop in on certain nights - you don’t need to tell me which ones, but just so I know to accommodate for additional tea and biscuits.

Thank you to everyone who helped last year with the refreshments. If any of you are happy to help out again, then please let me know and I can put you on the rota. If you have not done it before but want to help out, I will put you with people that have done it before so you get used to what is required. Please remember to bring your own cup as this saves time in the kitchen and reduces costs.

Payment for Mickel can be made in various ways - cash on the night, cheques should be made payable to “Mickel SCD Club”. It would be helpful if you would enclose your cheque when returning your slip. An easier way to pay is by making payment online by paying directly into the club’s bank account.

As you know, Mickel prides itself on raising money annually for charities chosen by members. Please let me know if you have any charities in mind for the 2026 season.

Each night all the dances are walked through: some are familiar and some are new.  At Mickel we love trying new or different dances to the ones you see on dance programmes. Members are encouraged to suggest any dances to me, so please keep sending them in.

Dance programmes for the night will be uploaded to the website, kindly provided for the club by Derek and can be found at:

Music will be provided by CDs.
